Iga Warta, a 100 per cent Aboriginal-owned and managed accommodation site near Nepabunna in the northern Flinders Ranges, has safari tents with ensuites, bunkhouses, cabins and tent sites. There is a small interpretation centre, a pool and camp kitchen. A highlight is the tours that provide insights into Adnyamathanha culture, with visits to 35 000-year-old painting sites, engraving sites, ochre pits and a women’s site, as well as artefact-making and plant tours. There is even a hunting tour, conducted under strict supervision, when you will hunt for kangaroo and emu.
