Campsite
A good base for exploring Weetootla Gorge and the various branches of Italowie Creek, this 4WD route via the Wortupa Loop Rd is 26 km north-west of park HQ. The road is suitable for off-road camper trailers, but check current road conditions before heading out. Note: nearby Grindells Hut is available for rent. The track in can be rough and slow going, depending on when the grader last went through. There is a good walk from here to Weetootla Springs, following the creek through the gorge. If you are lucky you may spot yellow-footed rock wallabies along this route.
