Kangaroo Island Penguin Centre
Back to nature
The one-hour tour begins at the various aquariums, where you watch seahorses, giant cuttlefish, reef fish, rock lobsters and King George whiting being fed. Then it’s outside for a quiet walk to look for little penguins with the aid of red torchlight. Depending on the season, you might see chicks waiting and calling out the front of the burrows, and the parents coming in from the sea to feed them. If the night is clear, the tour includes a guided talk about the southern night sky.
