This campsite is located in Canunda National Park
Spanning 40 km of wild coastline from Cape Buffon south to Cape Banks, this 9600 ha park offers tremendous variety. Weathered limestone cliffs, offshore islets and long stretches of beach and dune dominate these shores. Inland there are extensive pockets of tea-tree interspersed with coastal wattle and she-oaks. There are several easy bushwalks and scenic lookouts, as well as excellent fishing, with salmon and mulloway caught off the beaches. The park is accessible by conventional vehicle from the townships of Southend, Millicent and Carpenter Rocks, though to explore the full length of the coastline you’ll need a 4WD.
