Allports Beach camping area

This pretty beachside camping area is near the historic Wybalenna chapel and cemetery, which now sits fully restored on Aboriginal land, marking the place where Tasmania’s Aborigines were exiled in miserable conditions in the 1830s. History is also on display at nearby Emita, with a small museum housing relics from the island’s many shipwrecks. Follow the signposts from Palana Rd, heading towards the coast along Port Davies Rd, and find a sheltered spot out of the wind off Allports Beach Rd. Bring your own everything.
