The remote and beautiful northern tip of Flinders Island is a haven for lovers of wild coastal scenery. There are plenty of secluded camping spots among trees beside the inlet and no shortage of excellent snorkelling, surfing and fishing. To get here, head north along Palana Rd, turning right into North East River Rd just a few km from the coast. Negotiate your way along this track to the river mouth at the northern tip of the remarkable 30 km Foochow Beach. You will need to bring firewood and water.
