Surrounding 3 granite hills on the island’s eastern flanks, the forests, lagoons and swamps of this sanctuary offer unspoilt wildlife habitat and a chance to get to know Flinders Island’s unique animals. Access is 6 km east along Lees Rd from Lackrana Rd. Attractions include fantastic nature walks and spotting the refuge’s wallabies, wombats and Cape Barren geese. Bring your own drinking water and firewood. Note: the access track can be boggy after rain.
