Bay of Fires Conservation Area

Various options for one-day or multiday trips exist within the Bay of Fires Conservation Area, given the numerous access points around the beaches. From the Gardens you can kayak 10 kilometres north to Ansons Bay, where a campsite sits near the mouth of the bay. Other paddling opportunities include kayaking along Ansons River, or simply staying around Big and Sloop lagoons. You can stay in accommodation in St Helens, which is only a short drive away, pitch a tent or park your caravan near the dunes at the Gardens, or stay overnight at one of the other campsites along this stretch of coastline.
