This camping area has sheltered sites which suit smaller caravans and campervans. There are not many facilities, but this beautiful place is well worth a stopover to soak up uninterrupted ocean views and explore beaches which go on forever. Turn in off the Tasman Hwy, 3 km north of Scamander. You can camp in the clearings beside the road but not at the beachside day-use area. You need to bring your own water and firewood.

This campsite is located in Scamander Conservation Area

Beside the highway, midway between St Helens and St Marys, this thin coastal reserve stretches along 12 km of glorious, unspoilt ocean beaches from Dianas Basin south along Beaumauris, Wrinklers and Steels beaches to Hendersons Lagoon. With fishing one of the biggest drawcards, there are launching places at Scamander River, Paddys Island and Hendersons Lagoon.
