Between a long lagoon and a beautiful white beach, this extensive camping area has enough sites to accommodate everyone and is rarely full. Although it is very popular with families, the beach is wide and you will still be able to find a quiet spot in the dunes away from everyone. Swim, fish for salmon in the surf or just get your feet wet in the crystal-clear lagoon. You need to bring water and firewood. Turn onto access tracks 2 km north of the junction between the Tasman Hwy (A3) and the A4 at the base of Elephant Pass.

This campsite is located in Lagoons Beach Conservation Area

This long, thin coastal reserve was declared in 1981 to preserve a scenic stretch of ocean beach backed by gently sloping dunes, tranquil lagoons and pretty forest glades. Home to black swans and an abundance of nocturnal wildlife, it offers some of Tasmania’s best beach fishing, with plentiful Australian salmon.
