Mount William National Park and Flinders Island

This area has something exciting for kayakers of all levels. Mount William National Park is edged by an amazingly colourful coastline of white sandy beaches, rocky headlands, offshore islands and tall mountains. Kayak for 10 kilometres between Ansons Bay and Eddystone Point, or in the waters of Purdon Bay. Further north, Swan Island lies 4 kilometres offshore from Musselroe Bay, and you can visit the still-active lighthouse on the island. Experienced kayakers can paddle a further 20 kilometres to the challenging Furneaux Group, 52 islands sprinkled across Bass Strait, including Clarke Island and the large Flinders Island, which can also be reached by plane or ferry.
