Lodge on Elizabeth
This elegant Georgian mansion is one of Australia’s oldest buildings, convict-built in 1829 for Tasmania’s first auctioneer. For 170 years The Lodge on Elizabeth was inhabited by several prominent families, including a Premier’s, but now this boutique heritage B&B can be enjoyed by many. All rooms feature an ensuite and the more lavish rooms have delightful four-poster or antique beds and spas. Relax in the courtyard garden or drawing room before taking a short leisurely stroll into the city or up to North Hobart’s restaurant strip – both just two blocks away. Minimum two-night stay.
