Cornelian Bay Boathouse
Housed in a 1960s beach pavilion, this contemporary open-plan restaurant is encased in floor-to-ceiling glass, making the most of its tranquil bayside location. The modern Australian cuisine is French-styled, with the added sparkle of Asian flavours resulting in innovative dishes such as quail steamed in soy with Sichuan pepper or lamb fillet with sesame oil dressing. Duck is a specialty here and they do it perfectly as a confit infused with cinnamon and served with beetroot, rocket and blood orange. Desserts are fabulously generous and the large selection of wines has a distinctly Tasmanian focus.
