Alpenrail Swiss Model Village and Railway

As the tiny trains chug their way around the mountains, the kids run from one end of the display to the other, pointing and exclaiming at each new, entrancing detail they discover. They find buttons to push and are thrilled when the church bells ring and the bus horns toot. The realism of this miniature Swiss landscape impresses both adults and kids. Everyone has their own favourite detail – tunnels, lakes with boats, a wedding party arriving at the church… And there are more delights still to explore, with a fairy garden outside the door!

Fabulous Facts

Alpenrail covers an area of 200 square metres – the size of two average houses. It has about 350 metres of 0-scale track and took 7 years to construct. Like any good model railway, it’s a work-in-progress with constant modification.
