Tasmanian Transport Museum
This museum contains a restored and working collection of steam engines, locomotives and carriages from Tasmania’s unique and fascinating railway history. There are also some of the old trams and trolley buses that used to run on Hobart’s streets. Visitors can browse through displays in the relocated New Town suburban train station, a relic from a bygone era. Occasional main-line trips are scheduled.
