In the main street of ‘Beaky’, this lovely old two-storey pub has budget-priced, comfortable accommodation. It has been a pub since 1890 and while these days it’s nothing fancy, it’s a friendly place to enjoy good counter meals, a quiet beer or a game of pool, and is popular with backpackers and miners. Its historic charm is evident in the high-ceilinged rooms, wood panelling and polished timber floors, as well as the large upstairs verandah overlooking the street. Accommodation is in rooms with shared facilities.
