The Stables at Hawthorn Villa
Surrounded by significant historic gardens with huge sequoia trees and drifts of spring bulbs, this is one of those wonderfully historic places Tasmania is famous for. Hawthorn Villa was built next to the Liffey River in 1875 and looks over the tiny 19th-century village of Carrick. In the grounds of Hawthorn, The Stables are four split-level units offering comfortable and cosy accommodation, with loft bedrooms and open-plan living areas downstairs. They have full kitchen facilities, but also a barbecue area surrounded by beautiful gardens and rare plants that simply must be explored.
