The Lodge at Clarence Point
This rambling country mansion surrounded by manicured lawns is a grand private hotel at the northern end of the Tamar Valley, close to Narawntapu National Park but still within easy reach of the valley’s famous vineyards – over 20 of them at the last count. There are five large ensuite rooms plus four with shared bathrooms, and fantastic water views from balconies overlooking the Tamar River’s confluence with Bass Strait. And with tariffs that won’t break the bank, you’ll have enough left over to enjoy the à la carte restaurant presided over by an in-house chef who specialises in organic local produce.
