Bonney’s Inn

Historical firsts are commonplace in this National Trust–listed town and the 1830 Bonneys Inn can boast two: it was the first inn to open in the town and today it is Deloraine’s oldest brick building. These days the inn is an award-winning small B&B with a friendly family atmosphere and a reputation for huge breakfasts. If you over-indulge, you could walk it off with a stroll beside the river which is just across the road, or – in for a penny, in for a pound – head out to forage for more foodie delights along a gourmet trail that includes chocolate, raspberries, cheeses, smoked salmon, wines and honey, to name just a few.
