Peppers Seaport

Launceston isn’t a high-rise city, so Seaport’s half-dozen storeys dominate this riverside patch on the edge of the CBD. This 60-room swish hotel decked out in blond wood and beige furnishings has brought a new vibe to this area, previously the domain of boat builders and seagulls. The birds are still here and now you can watch them from your water-view suite or from a window table at one of the hotel’s popular casual eateries on the wharfside decking, while you enjoy a fine bistro meal with a glass of Tamar Valley wine.
