Stillwater River Cafe & Restaurant

Set in an 1830s flour mill, Stillwater is acclaimed as one of Launceston’s best restaurants. During the day breakfast or lunch are wonderful enjoyed outdoors overlooking the Tamar River, while the small dining room is candlelit in the evening to create a relaxed ambience. Dishes are complex combinations of European and Asian flavours, resulting in standout dishes like seared yellowfin tuna on soba noodles with bok choy, scallops, roasted garlic salsa, ginger soy liquor and scallop butter. For main course, there is seared wallaby or sugar- and chilli-coated Chinese pork cheeks, and desserts feature traditional favourites like swirled chocolate parfait.
