Ross Bakery Inn
One of the two bakeries on the main street, the centrepiece of this heritage bakery cafe is the wood-fired oven, rebuilt on the site of an original oven that had been operating here for 100 years. To aficionados it’s a semi-scotch brick three-bag oven, but to food lovers it’s the source of fabulous breads (including ‘real’ sourdough) pies, pastries and cakes. The seafood pies, fisherman’s pasties and lamb with minty peas pies are favourites. These and other treats and light meals can be enjoyed with a glass of wine or beer in the dining room or at tables outside.
