Wild Dog Creek (walk-in camping)

drinking water fire prohibited hiking trails no pets allowed no rubbish disposal non-vehicle camping scenic area or lookout special campsite

Tent sites beside Wild Dog Creek are reached 3 hrs from the carpark, after negotiating a moderately steep and muddy track. You’ll need to be fully equipped, capable of sitting out extreme cold weather, and you must carry a fuel stove as campfires are not allowed. From here it’s a short climb to Herrods Gate and Lake Salome. Bring your camera.

Tent sites are on timber platforms to protect the fragile vegetation.
