This cheerful, 24-hour roadside eatery seems much like any other until you take a closer look. Think bakery, cafe, provedore, gelataria and licensed restaurant, and you’d be closer to the mark. There are unexpected delights such as the superb gelato made with traditional Italian machinery to prize-winning quality. You can’t leave without a taste of Andy’s gold-medal-winning latte gelato. And you can’t go past his fantastic Italian ciabatta bread or vanilla slices. Then there are raspberry fruit flans made with tangy Tasmanian fruit, and for savoury appetites his gourmet meat pies.
