Peggs Beach camping area
This small campground is very popular with locals, so you will be lucky to find a spot here in the summer holiday season. Although it is close to the highway, it is right next to a gorgeous, wide beach with boat-launching places nearby. There are sites sheltered among the coastal vegetation and a separate, more open area, but few facilities. The tank water should be boiled or treated for drinking. A shower cubicle is available for campers to hang solar showers. Turn off the Bass Hwy 11 km east of the Stanley turn-off, or 14 km west of the Rocky Cape turn-off.
