Next to the creek and rodeo ground, this pretty forest reserve has places for vans on short-term stays of 1 or 2 nights (2 night maximum), making it a perfect overnight stop on your way to Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park. It’s close to the Mt Roland hiking trail and there’s a nice 15 min nature walk you can take from the campground to the start of the track. Across the creek, the Gowrie Park Wilderness Village has cabins and powered van sites for longer stays. Access is along the C136, 16 km south-west of Sheffield.
