If you’re a self-sufficient camper and enjoy trout fishing and lovely scenery, this camping ground 6 km north of Tullah is ideal. Best suited to large rigs, there are few tent sites. Turn east off the Murchison Hwy A10 onto the signposted Mackintosh Dam Rd. Take the single-lane road across 2 dams (provided the spillway is not flooding), then turn down gravel tracks to the very pretty lakeside camping areas. There are no facilities so bring your own firewood and drinking water. There are excellent bushwalks nearby, including the spectacular, but challenging, Mt Farrell.
