If you are a self-sufficient camper and enjoy trout fishing and lovely scenery, this camping ground 6 km north of Tullah is ideal. It is best suited to caravans and camper trailers, as there are few tent sites. Turn east off the Murchison Hwy (A10) onto the signposted Mackintosh Dam Rd. Take the single-lane road across 2 dams (provided the spillway is not flooding), then turn down gravel tracks to the lakeside camping areas. There are no facilities so bring your own firewood and drinking water. There are excellent bushwalks nearby, including the spectacular, but challenging, Mt Farrell.
