Although Penguin is a sleepy seaside village, the vibe at this sophisticated eatery is all about big city style. With a growing reputation for brilliance and creativity, Wild attracts gourmet food lovers from far and wide. At lunch there are light and lovely offerings and very good coffee, with more substantial dishes on the dinner menu. It’s all created from the best Tasmanian ingredients, livened up with Asian-inspired flavours. Expect to be wowed by teriyaki quail wrapped in prosciutto, or duck with orange and Grand Marnier served with five-spice brioche.
