Tiny Corinna – named for the Tasmanian tiger – lies on the southern edge of the vast heritage-listed Tarkine rainforest wilderness at the Pieman River crossing. Limited camping and riverside van sites are at the Tarkine Hotel, close to the beautiful Huon Pine walk. There are walks through ferny forest to Lovers Falls, or up to Donaldsons Peak, while the Pieman River Cruise is not to be missed. Corinna is 133 km south of Arthur River on the winding unsealed Western Explorer C249, or 69 km from Waratah on the B23, then the unsealed C247. From south take the Western Explorer from Zeehan, reaching the Pieman River after 153 km, then the Fatman Barge across the river to Corinna.
