Mount Black Lodge
Located halfway between Cradle Mountain and Strahan, this place calls itself the ‘Gateway to the Wilderness’ and it’s an apt name, being surrounded with temperate national parks, pristine World Heritage wilderness areas and huge tracts of old-growth forest in the Tarkine. All types of travellers are attracted here by the natural beauty, and a great way to enjoy it is on one of the Lodge’s guided photographic tours, which take you to stunningly beautiful locations where every shot you take is bound to be sensational. There are eight comfortable rooms plus wood-heated lounge areas where you can mingle with other guests – and impress them with your amazing photos.
