When this fairytale Gothic guesthouse was built, the builders had all the time in the world and an abundance of fine timbers to work with. No wonder they took to crafting carved blackwood stair rails, decorating ornate mantelpieces and piecing together intricate fretwork just to make the gables look pretty. Luckily we can still see the results of their labour at Westella, and this B&B is a chance to experience a little of those earlier times. Each of the three guest rooms is decorated in period style, and to wrap up your stay enjoy a leisurely breakfast – Westella is famous for its omelettes.
