Waratah’s O’Connor Hall Guest House and B&B
When the Waratah mine was at its peak, and wealth was flowing into the town, this ornate Victorian homestead was the home of the most important man in town – the mine manager. His status was reflected in the craftsmanship and quality of this 1883 house, which, not surprisingly, has earned it heritage listing. No surprises either that there is still plenty of old-style luxury here, especially in the queen four-poster beds. The elegance of this house befits the natural beauty that surrounds it, and for those lucky enough to be here when there is a blanket of snow all around, the experience is unforgettable.
