This old hotel next to the Dunalley bridge has a longstanding reputation for great seafood counter meals. These days, despite competition from plenty of other eateries nearby, it still serves up reliably good pub tucker at reasonable prices. The menu is a tried-and-true combination of dishes, probably unchanged for decades. Their signature dish of whole flounder is still there, along with other old favourites such as a prawn and scallop ‘beef ’n reef’ with cheese sauce. That this place has survived seemingly unchanged for so long is not due to the kids playground, the open fires in winter or the gaming lounge, but rather it speaks volumes for the quality of the food.
