Dunalley Waterfront Cafe & Gallery
This large casual cafe, takeaway and music venue created from a 1960s fish cannery is in a perfect location overlooking a working slipyard and scenic Blackman Bay. They’ve updated the building with a huge deck and offer all-day breakfasts and modern takes on traditional favourites, showcasing local fare and plenty of fish, of course. A variation on the traditional ploughman’s lunch includes a bowl of secret-recipe fish chowder, the homemade potato chips come with good-quality Maldon sea salt, and the burger has a sweet potato and spinach patty, sour cream and chilli sauce. When you’ve eaten your fill, take a look at the remarkable display of collectibles and antiques filling four rooms of the old cannery. Bookings are required for dinner.
