A world away from a run-of-the-mill B&B, Potter’s Croft houses local potter Tim Hoskins’ studio and kiln, as well as a gallery of art, jewellery, sculpture and ceramics from local artisans. So, if creative arts are your passion, this is the place to stay. Built from timber and recycled convict bricks, this two-storey lodge has loft rooms, a studio and cottage available, and they run tours catering for everyone’s passion be it fly-fishing, plein-air painting or savouring a drop of very good wine. And if that’s not enough, they are the cellar-door outlet for nearby Bream Creek vineyard, the source of one of Tasmania’s most-awarded pinot noirs and, more recently, a rare schonberger dessert wine and gold medal sauvignon blanc.
