This charming boutique hotel nestled by the water shares its name with the French sea captain – Bruni d’Entrecasteaux – who mapped these inlets in 1792. With a charming pastel facade and pretty pots of flowers, D’Entrecasteaux is a tiny patch of provincial France offering high-class accommodation. From the foyer a grand staircase leads to plush rooms fitted out with a mix of antiques and custom-made furniture, most with cute balconies and lovely views of North-West Bay. It’s not all old-fashioned charm though, as there are excellent communication facilities plus an indoor pool, spa and massage treatments available. Spend the evening sipping champagne on the poolside terrace, imagining your next visit to the south of France.
