Citrus Moon Cafe
Brightly painted inside and out, this quirky cafe near Kingston Beach specialises in wholefoods but hasn’t become too seriously healthy. Happily, there are sweet cakes and tarts on offer, as well as generous bowls of salads – the tempeh, artichoke and pine nut is fantastic – along with lasagne, tofu burgers and stuffed bagels. Grab a window seat at a big old kitchen table, slurp down a freshly juiced citrus zinger or blood tonic, and browse the interesting scatter of community notices and magazines. Among alternative-style offerings, they also serve really good coffee, pots of tea and more-ish lemon tarts for not-so-adventurous diners.
