The Commandant’s Table
Surrounded by the Port Arthur Historic Site’s evocative history, there are two restaurants in the hotel complex at Tasmania’s most iconic destination. They may not have had a makeover in a while but they won’t disappoint if you’re looking for a table with one of the world’s most unique outlooks. The Commandant’s Table offers fine dining, with Tasmanian produce centre stage but prepared in some surprising ways. Try the fish livened up with an Indonesian-style lemony ginger sambal. Next door in the Convicts Kitchen bistro, open daily for lunch and dinner, the views are not as inspiring but all the favourite pub grub is there at budget prices.
