Mrs Currie’s House
This two-storey 1850 Georgian B&B has three beautifully decorated rooms with high ceilings, floral fabrics and brass beds, or if you fancy a night in what is possibly the oldest rammed-earth dwelling in Australia, there is the tiny 1820 Cottage Room at the rear of the house. In the morning, settle into a warm spot by the fire in the dining room for a delicious cooked breakfast. Richmond has been scrubbed up and dressed for tourists but remains a fascinating colonial village worth exploring. Stroll around the corner to Australia’s oldest and most haunted bridge, but if you dare to visit at night be warned – there is more than one ghost!
