Richmond Arms Hotel

Resurrected after a fire in 1888, this fine Georgian hotel is Richmond’s local, where the tradition of the Friday-night meat raffle – proceeds to the town’s volunteer firefighters – is still a popular drawcard. The only remaining part of the earlier Lennox Inn not destroyed by fire is the stables, now converted into four ensuite accommodation units with tea- and coffee-making facilities. The pub has a better than usual range of counter meals on offer and it’s a great place to enjoy some local country character.
