The Pines camping area
This sheltered camping area is a popular spot for surfers attracted to Cloudy Bay’s beach and point breaks. It is very small, so campers have to take their chances finding a site. While surfing is the main attraction, there are also scenic coastal walks and excellent beachcombing, as well as kayaking nearby in beautiful Cloudy Bay Lagoon. To get here, turn south at Lunawanna along the C629, then right into Cuthberts Rd, 3 km further on. The turn-off to the campground is 6 km south (500 m before the road ends at Cloudy Bay).

This campsite is located in South Bruny National Park
This wild and spectacular coastal national park takes in southern Bruny Island’s rugged shoreline and parts of its hinterland from Fluted Cape to Great Taylors Bay. It is dominated by massive dolerite sea cliffs and windswept heaths but there are also superb beaches and sheltered coves, these being the main attraction for campers. In summer, the camping areas are popular with visitors coming to fish, surf and laze away their holidays. Gas/fuel stoves are recommended, and no water or firewood is supplied.
