Adjacent to the Hastings Forest picnic area beside the Esperance River, these forest campsites have fireplaces, soft mossy ground and a trickling stream to lull you to sleep after your walk to Duckhole Lake or Adamsons Falls nearby. You’ll need to carry your gear to the picnic ground campsites which have toilets close by, while the other sites are accessible by vehicle but have no facilities. Although the river is clean it is recommended the water is boiled before drinking. The campground is 8 km along Esperance Rd, a right-hand turn off the Huon Hwy, 4 km south of Dover.
