This campsite is located in Port Davey Track (Start)

Passing through the heart of Tasmania’s awe-inspiring south-west, this 70 km, 5-day trek from Scotts Peak to Melaleuca is only for the fittest, most experienced hikers. The track is rough, steep and muddy; it rains on average every second day in summer, and icy storms are common in all seasons. Walkers must be equipped for weather delays and able to wait for suitable tides at river crossings. Gas/fuel stoves must be carried. Note: walker registration is at Huon Campground and Melaleuca.
