Melaleuca
Campsite
Deep in Tasmania’s south-west, this campsite is at the termination of the South Coast and Port Davey walking tracks at Bathurst Harbour. Trekkers can arrange to be dropped off here by air from Cambridge airport near Hobart to start their walks, or they can be picked up after completing them. Some hardy souls use the relatively comfortable hut accommodation at Melaleuca just as a layover before heading off on the second leg to traverse the entire Southwest National Park.
