This pretty camping area overlooks Coxs Bight. The best sites are on sheltered, grassy flats right behind the beach. There is fresh water along the beach at Goring Creek, 200 m east. This campsite is 13 km (an easy 5 hr) from Melaleuca camping area and 17 km over Red Point Hills (allow 6 hr) from Louisa River camping area. Bring a gas/fuel stove.

This campsite is located in South Coast Track (Melaleuca)

There are 6 camping areas on the 85 km, 5–10 day trek around Tasmania’s wild southern coastline, from Cockle Creek to Melaleuca at Bathurst Harbour. Walkers must be experienced, well-equipped and able to sit out weather delays. Gas/fuel stoves are required. Note: walkers should register at Cockle Creek or Melaleuca.
