Gordon River cruises

Franklin–Gordon Wild Rivers National Park now has a World Heritage listing after the state government made attempts to dam the Franklin River. Visitors can go canoeing and whitewater rafting, or hop onboard a Gordon River cruise departing from Strahan. Boats pass Hells Gates, where the harbour meets the sea, and visit Sarah Island. Cruises also operate from Corinna, stopping at the mouth of the river where you can walk to Pieman Heads and across to the beach, and to the township of Arthur River.
