Risby Cove

Macquarie Harbour’s dark tannin-stained water comes from ancient rainforest soils, a process that has been happening for millennia, long before anyone was here to admire the perfect reflections it creates. The dusk and daybreak reflections are sublime from these modern self-contained cabins at Risby Cove, while all day the harbour provides interest as cruises, fishing vessels, seaplanes and jet boats come and go. Besides the light and airy one- and two-bedroom cabins, there is also a gallery showing work by local artists and artisans, and an à la carte restaurant with its own marina.
