West Coast Wilderness Railway

The West Coast Wilderness Railway is a restored 1896 rack-and-pinion railway. It travels over 34 kilometres of river and forest track from Queenstown to Macquarie Harbour and onwards to Strahan. The West Coast Wilderness journey takes around 5 hours, crossing 40 bridges and passing through pristine wilderness areas. The Premier Carriage option includes morning tea and local cheeses in the afternoon.
