Alistair Fieldings camping area
This camping area is accessed via Lee Creek Track from the Lee Creek camping area on Freestone Creek Rd. This route is only accessible by 4WD. Besides enjoying some splendid isolation, you can take the 3 km return Alistair Fielding Walking Track (named after a park ranger who was based at Briagolong), past remnants of 1890s gold diggings and settlements.

This campsite is located in Briagolong State Forest
Delightful Briagolong State Forest is 15 km north of the town of Stratford – which is on the Avon River, of course. It was once filled with excitable gold prospectors and is now a magnet for nature-struck bushwalkers and picnickers. Signposted off the tracks that squirm through the forest are numerous pleasant campsites. Take Briagolong Rd north from Stratford, which is on the Princes Hwy.
