With the trickle of Winkie Creek to the east, this campsite is named for the rocky Lloyd Knob to the west. As with the area’s other camping spots, the centrepiece is still the lovely Freestone Creek, which veers off to the south-west at this stage of its journey.

This campsite is located in Briagolong State Forest

Delightful Briagolong State Forest is 15 km north of the town of Stratford – which is on the Avon River, of course. It was once filled with excitable gold prospectors and is now a magnet for nature-struck bushwalkers and picnickers. Signposted off the tracks that squirm through the forest are numerous pleasant campsites. Take Briagolong Rd north from Stratford, which is on the Princes Hwy.
